LOST 40KG GAINED 15 NOW DESPERATE

    Hi After losing 40 kgs and maintaining for a year I thought I had my weight problems under control. However when life spiralled further out of my control due to some family tragedies I reverted to food for all my emotional needs. I am now in a binge/exercise phase and cannot find my way out of it. I am at home today recovering from the Oxfam trailwalker 100km challenge where I trekked for 30 hours non stop to raise money for Oxfam. I found this site and I am desperate for some support. I am 53 and my health problems that had disappeared are returning and my spirit is at an all time low.

    Ahh i was training for the oxfam walk but stuffed my knee up. Congrats on doing it in 30 hours!

    I'm also on the needing to re-lose it boat :/

    It is so hard to get back into it. I have lost faith in myself and just keep binging and gaining. I have just downloaded daily burn and intend to try again!!! Looked at your before/after pictures. congratulations. Oxfam was very hard adn I have beencarrying injuries so my passion for exercise has waned. I need to get it back.

    Yeah Oxfam made me quit walking and running for good. My knee is really poked. I can still do my main sport though which is cycling.
    So If i start tomorrow, you can start tomorrow yes? Having the last supper today and finishing up all the junk food

    Ok sounds like a plan. Last supper today. Just weighed myself and I have actually put on 19kg!!! I did Oxfam last year as well and never got back into running properly again.Have back knee and foot problems. I want to get back into it. I will diary tomorrows progress. Good luck.

    Had a rough two days but have managed to eat sensibly fot two days so that is a start. I am going to try a training sesssion in the morning. Physio today said I may need to take a break but to see how I go.Miss feeling good about exercise so hope injuries are not getting any worse.

    yaay! eating is the main thing, the exercise helps though. For me it helps the mindset if nothing else, i *feel* better i guess.

    To be brutally honest, not a lot. Ive been failing miserably atm :/ Life has been busy, ive been lazy and cooking/eating crap foods. I keep trying to throw in vegetable soups and healthy things to offset the crap - but suspect ive failed a little.
    I think i need to get back into cycling more.

    Me too - been going hard on the exercycle every morning and found out just put ON 3kg rather than lost anything its so disheartening

    I finally got my crap together the other day, my health has been going downhill. Feeling like crap, skin breaking out in rashes, headaches, high blood pressure and antsyness etc.
    I went to veg and fruit and meat only, then added in whole grains. Kicked the coffee, and added a ton of water. Feeling a ton better.
    Also i'm walking to work when I can which has helped heaps also! Im now sleeping way better than I was, headaches have gone, skin is still being odd (though usually us without Vit Bs).
