Missed the weigh in last week. To be honest, it wasn't a very good week anyway, didn't work out much and then we had a few too many rums on the Saturday, followed by a hangover on Sunday accompanied by various high calorie food items to feel better.

    So here we go...

    Week 9.

    Groom.
    Starting weight: 280.5 lbs.
    Last week's weight: 250.2 lbs.
Current weight: 247.5 lbs, loss of 2.7 lbs.
    Total loss: 33 lbs, 11.7%.

    Bride.
    Starting weight: 204lbs.
    Last week's weight: 195.3 lbs.
Current weight: 195.1 lbs, loss of 0.2 lbs.
    Total loss: 8.9 lbs. 4.3%.

"That time of the month" has passed, so we are expecting some progress this week!

It is so difficult to keep up the motivation, the first few weeks are easier but then the grind sets in, everyday is a struggle and it can seam that the slightest thing deflates you and you give up. It is harder for women especially if they have children to look after, they are constantly in the kitchen surrounded by food and preparing food. Your bride needs to find ways of self motivating and not getting sabotaged by circumstances and not feel bad about bad decisions, just move on to the next day with new resolve. Small goals, with big rewards worked for me (not food rewards) and also I did keep up the exercise even when I was not eating well and this I am sure helped. During my 50kg (54kg now) weight loss I went through several low motivation patches and put on 10kg during one, they can be overcome but it is really down to each individual to find the determination to get back on track. But totally worth it.

She has been back exercising the last few days. YAY! I think she has realised time will run out very quickly and it will be January before we know it!!

Expect a weigh in next week.

Note: I do all the cooking. Aren't I great?

    Current weight: 244.3 lbs.

    Hello...
    Glad to be back.
Got the flu for three weeks, felt absolutely horrible, couldn't get in the mood to exercise, then had a bit of computer trouble, hence why it is now mid-May.

    Week 19. (I think)

    Groom.
    Starting weight: 280.5 lbs.

    Current weight: 238.3 lbs.
    Total loss: 42.2 lbs, 15%.

    Bride.
    Starting weight: 204lbs.

    Current weight: 193.7 lbs.
    Total loss: 10.3 lbs. 5%.

The bride had a bad few weeks as well, combined with getting my flu, she had to "console" a friend of hers which involved a couple of boxes of Corona beer... so she had actually put on about 5 lbs over the last few weeks.

She's been pretty motivated of late though. She watches "The Biggest Loser" which is on TV3 in the mornings now, then she gets all excited and works out afterwards, this week she lost about 3 lbs.

    Hey, if it works...

    Six months in...

    Week 26???

Had a rough month lately, all the wedding planning is totally stressing us out. We have had to change the wedding plans... yes it is still going ahead... to cut a long story short, we have brought the date forward to October 2...

    YIKES!

Less than three months to go!!!

The main thing is, there is NO STRESS over it now, which is awesome.

Bride got her motivation back for a week and successfully lost three pounds (YAY!)... This was followed by an unfortunate series of events... tonsillitus, a bacterial infection in her hand, and to top it all off, slipped down the back steps in the rain and really hurt her back and hip. preventing her from moving without great pain and therefore no exercising at all.

I have been slacking off quite a bit lately as well, mainly in the alcohol department, causing a weight gain and motivation problem, but this has now been addressed the past two weeks and I am back on track. The Bride has recovered from her various ailments and is also back on track this week.

    Groom.
    Starting weight: 280.5 lbs.
    Current weight: 234.7 lbs.
    Total loss: 45.8 lbs, 16.3%.

Chest: Was 48"... now 45", loss of 3".
Waist: Was 52"... now 45", loss of 7".
Hips: Was 43.5"... now 40", loss of 3.5".

    Bride.
    Starting weight: 204lbs.
    Current weight: 192 lbs.
    Total loss: 12 lbs. 5.8%.

Chest: Was 48"... now 45", loss of 3".
Waist: Was 45"... now 44.5", loss of 0.5".
    Hips: Was 46" ... now 43", loss of 3".

I've got my wedding pants sorted, just need to organize the top half... and the Bride has a wedding dress fitting next week apparently...

    New suit?

Never had one to begin with. Trying to hold off on the clothing until a couple of weeks before the wedding... just in case they are too big for me... hehe.

I bought some wedding pants because I have no ass even when I am "larger". I can't see me losing much off of that, hence why I have the pants now (they were on special).

Might need a new work uniform though, my regular customers have begun to ask the old "have you lost weight" line.

    Good motivation though.

Been a while. We've been very very busy lately...
    The wedding is THIS SATURDAY!
I have been able to continue working out, unfortunately for the Bride, she has ceased working out for the time being, her dress maker said the dress won't be ready until this Wednesday, which is cutting it a bit fine for my liking.

The bride has been eating only salads for the past two weeks, and has dropped a couple of pounds... I think she doesn't want her dress to be too big. We'll see what she does AFTER the wedding...

    Groom.
    Starting weight: 280.5 lbs.
    Current weight: 216.9 lbs.
    Total loss: 63.6 lbs, 22.6%.

Chest: Was 48"... now 44", loss of 4".
Waist: Was 52"... now 43.5", loss of 8.5".
Hips: Was 43.5"... now 38.5", loss of 5".

    Bride.
    Starting weight: 204 lbs.
    Current weight: 190 lbs.
    Total loss: 14 lbs. 6.8%.

Chest: Was 48"... now 45", loss of 3".
Waist: Was 45"... now 44.5", loss of 0.5".
    Hips: Was 46" ... now 43", loss of 3".

I will post up a wedding photo sometime next week as well as a before picture.

    BRING ON SATURDAY!

Well, the Bride hasn't done very well so far so I guess it will only be me at this stage.

I'll have to find a horrible before photo to compare to my wedding photo haha.

The wedding was fantastic. Perfect weather, very sunny, no wind. Awesome photos. Amazing reception, lovely wine!!!

Not sure if I'll weigh myself this week... I probably put on a fair amount of weight over the weekend... but hey, I had a good reason to over-indulge!

I found a horrible before photo, so here we go...

    Bring on Christmas!!

A haircut and shave helps. Also, not weilding a BBQ spatula smothered in blood makes it look a lot better.

I'm aiming for around 199 lbs, that would be an awesome psychological victory for me, being under 200.

It's not over yet, I'm just having a week off to spend quality time with the wife and kids while I'm still off work - still have a couple of half full wine bottles left over from the wedding, must not go to waste... heheh...

Should be back on the wagon next week, hopefully I don't go backwards too much before then.

    Thanks.
